Make Up Haul

Hey guys!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for being so patient waiting for a new blog post! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks and I’ve just got back from holiday but I have got lots of new posts coming!

Before I went on holiday I went on a little spree in Superdrug and got a few new make up items to try over the week! Well I’m back and the verdict is in!

E.L.F HD Lifting Concealer

Concelar

This concealer was a total hit! I was very sceptical of this because it was on the slightly cheaper side and I just didn’t think it would do the job…how wrong I was! It’s got great coverage, blends out beautifully and has a nice creamy consistency, It covers any darkness under my eyes and gives a really natural finish. It lasted all day and was only £4.50!

Maybelline Master Bronze Colour and Highlighting kit

This is a palette with four different shades, three bronze shades and one highlighting shade. I was super excited about this because the colours in this palette are beautiful! I’m a sucker for a good bronzer and this one didn’t disappoint. It blended really nicely and looked beautiful on the skin, it does have a slight shimmer to it which I don’t usually like in a bronzer but it actually looked pretty on. The highlighter is nice, it gives a subtle golden ‘glow from within’ kind of look which I think works great for natural make up days. This product costs £12.99.

Freedom Anti – Shine Fixing Spray

Setting Spray

I’ve only used this setting spray a couple of times and so far I’m not loving it, I used it on a day where I had a full face of make up on and it made the foundation on my nose break up after only an hour or two. When I used it on a day where I only had light make up on it worked well, my make up stayed on and it did keep the oil at bay for part of the day. I’ve only just come across this brand so I’m going to keep testing it out and try some other products so stay tuned people! This setting spray costs £5.00.

Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter – Peach Lights

Highlighter

This is a very pretty highlighter but the colour is more pink than peach. I have an olive skin tone and I’ve currently got a bit of a tan so this colour looks quite frosty and doesn’t really suit me. If you go too heavy-handed with this product it doesn’t blend out that well and leaves a pink hue on the skin. The packaging feels a bit on the cheaper side but you get what you pay for! Overall I think this is a nice highlighter that’s probably better suited to paler skin tones and as long as you go gentle with the application can look beautiful! This highlighter only costs £3.00!

Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Paint

I absolutely love Maybelline lip products and this one was no exception! It’s beautifully creamy and opaque which makes for a smooth appearance. It has a slanted sponge tip applicator that puts on the perfect amount of product and makes it really easy to blend out. I bought the shade ‘Stripped Down’ and it has become my go to lippie! It doesn’t dry down completely matte but leaves your lips with a little slip to them which makes it comfortable to wear all day. I’m super excited to try out some other shades! This product costs £4.99.

Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara

Mascara

This is a really nice mascara, it does exactly what it says it will and gives you great volume along with length. My pet hate is really clumpy mascara and this one goes on really smoothly so that’s a big win! It’s jet black and doesn’t crumble or cause any fall out during the day. The one thing my straight lashes aren’t loving about this product is that it doesn’t hold a curl for very long! I always curl my eyelashes and this mascara only held the curl for a couple of hours before my straight lashes were out to play again. Bearing that in mind I still really like this mascara and think it’s a great every day option, this product costs £7.99.

Thanks again for waiting so patiently for this post and I promise there’s more to come! Thanks for reading xo
